Prenatal Chiropractic Care
Prenatal chiropractic care uses pregnancy-appropriate positioning and gentle technique to help with the back, pelvic and hip discomfort that changing load and posture can create.
Pregnancy shifts your centre of gravity, changes ligament laxity and loads the pelvis and low back differently week by week. Many of the resulting aches are mechanical and respond to careful hands-on care.
We use pregnancy pillows and side-lying positions so you are comfortable, keep technique gentle, and add stretches and support advice you can use at home. We work alongside your obstetric provider or midwife, not instead of them.
Who this treatment may be appropriate for
- Low back, pelvic or hip discomfort in pregnancy
- Rib and mid-back tightness later in pregnancy
- Postural discomfort and sleep positioning problems
- Postpartum recovery
Important considerations & when not to proceed
- Vaginal bleeding, fluid loss, severe abdominal pain, reduced fetal movement or signs of pre-eclampsia require immediate obstetric care.
- High-risk pregnancy or complications should be discussed with your obstetric provider before starting care.
- We do not make claims about influencing labour, delivery or fetal position outcomes.
