Cupping Therapy

Cupping uses suction cups on the skin to lift and decompress soft tissue, and is used here for muscle pain and tightness alongside other care.

Cups may be left in place or moved along the tissue, sometimes while you move the limb. Patients often describe it as an unusual but relieving pulling sensation.

It is a soft-tissue tool used within a broader plan. Circular marks are common afterwards and are not bruises in the usual sense — they typically fade within days.

Who this treatment may be appropriate for

  • Back, shoulder and hip tension
  • Recovery after training

Important considerations & when not to proceed

  • Avoided over open wounds, infections, sunburn, skin conditions, blood clots and cancerous lesions.
