PEMF Therapy

PEMF therapy applies pulsed electromagnetic fields to the body and is used at our office as a comfort and recovery adjunct rather than a stand-alone treatment.

You remain clothed and either lie on or sit near the applicator for a set time. Sessions are painless — most people feel little or nothing, or a light pulsing sensation.

We use PEMF alongside chiropractic care and as the first stage of the Superhuman Protocol. As with our other supportive modalities, we describe it as a comfort and recovery tool and keep active care at the centre of your plan.

Who this treatment may be appropriate for

  • Aching joints and muscular tension
  • Recovery between treatment or training sessions
  • Wellness programme members
  • Superhuman Protocol participants

Important considerations & when not to proceed

  • Not used with pacemakers, defibrillators, insulin pumps, cochlear implants or other implanted electronic devices.
  • Avoided during pregnancy, with active bleeding, and during active cancer treatment without oncology clearance.
  • Tell us about any implant or device before your first session.

This page is general education, not medical advice. If you have a medical emergency, call 911.

Frequently asked questions

What does PEMF feel like?

Most patients feel little or nothing, sometimes a gentle pulsing. It is not painful.

Is it safe with metal implants?

Non-electronic metal implants are usually screened case by case, but implanted electronic devices such as pacemakers rule it out. Always tell us what you have.
